Jorge Luis Hernandez Pouyu is a self-taught artist from Cuba. With the political recognition of his native province, he participated in his country’s cultural renaissance in the 1980s. In 1990, he met other artists from his generation and their emulation gave him the opportunity to pull himself up a little higher in the cultural sphere of modern Santiago.
