A WORK FROM THE COLLECTION IN HARPER’S BAZAAR – DANIEL FIRMAN, “RAW,” 2018
The sculpture Raw by Daniel Firman, which entered the RAJA Collection – Contemporary Art in 2020, is featured in an article titled “I Love Mess” in the June/July 2024 issue of the American magazine Harper’s Bazaar.
Written by Leah Chernikoff, the article discusses a certain “aesthetic” of mess that has become increasingly significant in fashion, design, and visual culture since the global Covid pandemic, in contrast to the polished images and interiors often seen on social media.
« There’s been a shift in design away from the spare and pristine and sans serif and monochromatic and toward something more lived-in, more like the chaos of the real world we all navigate.»
