Francisco SALAZAR

Francisco Salazar enrolled in the Cristobal Rojas School of Visual Arts in 1954, where he took classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, murals, stained glass and engraving, amongst others. Between 1958 and 1966, he taught composition and drawing at the Central University of Venezuela’s Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. In 1967, he received a grant to participate in the fifth Biennale of Young Creators in Paris. He has lived in Paris since that time, where he continues his research in the field of optical painting. His work is regularly exhibited at trade fairs, biennales, and solo and group shows, primarily in France and Latin America.
