“Ceramics and cardboard are two materials strongly related to the consumption and transport of goods, as ceramic pots and amphorae filled with grains, oils and spices were frequently shipped around the world. In the works from the “object in transit” series, ceramics transform into cardboard and cardboard transforms into a vase. Through the language of collage, using resources such as fragmentation and overlapping of different references, I propose a reflection on how our cultural relations are mediated by a common interest: commerce.” – quote from the artist about his Objeto em Trânsito series.
