MULTIPLE ART DAYS #8 – FONDATION FIMINCO
The RAJA Contemporary Art Collection is happy to support the 8th edition of the contemporary art fair Multiple Art Days (MAD), which will take place from September 8 to 10, 2023 at the Fondation Fiminco (Romainville)
This new edition, under the artistic direction of Sylvie Boulanger and Nicholas Vargelis, is an opportunity to highlight a new scene of editorial, curatorial and poetic artistic practices. The numerous exhibitors, both publishers and artists, will present multiples, artists’ books, objects, etc. in a scenography designed by Roch Deniau and produced with Raja products, which play an integral part in the fair’s visual identity.
“For its 8th edition, MAD is undergoing a metamorphosis, opening up a space for “objects with poetic reaction”* as an extension to artists‘ books and multiples: objects that are sources of inspiration, creation, collection and observation, such as artists’ editions, sketches and diagrams, notebooks, prototypes, archives, collected objects and images. Like artists‘ editions, these collections of forms and materials are considered art objects by the artists. They will be editorialized by each participant. Artists, curators, collectors, architects and designers are invited to exhibit and sell their “inspirational” objects, between works of art and “tools for seing”. (excerpt from press release)
